AAE was founded on the 24th May 1990 by a group of professional teachers and linguists working with intercultural bilingual education in Bolivia.  During the last years, they have developed methodologies for oral and written learning in Quechua for staff in public administration and for staff from the regional and local education offices in the city of Sucre.

AAE is a social-educational institution whose vision lies within the enormous cultural and linguistic diversity in Bolivia and create educational activities developing indigenous cultures and languages in education processes, incorporating the recuperation of indigenous values, knowledge and cosmovisions in the different area of human knowledge.
